What’s better than getting to go to your 9 year old daughters school to have lunch with her and her classmates?
Absolutely nothing of course. Alright I get it. They are kids and kids love sweets but why don’t you just give them a cotton candy iv and call it a day! You can’t have only junk and nothing nutritious. Where were the vegetables and fruits? What the heck are we doing here folks? I live in a wealthy area where the residents are very educated. These people are supposed to know better. Everyone is so invested in their kids education and who their teacher might be but the only thing that I saw being served by the nice PTO mothers was something that came of a conveyor belt. That’s not food. That’s not lunch. That’s crap and that’s going to hurt kids in the long run. We are not designed to take in man made food that has been cooked up in some factory somewhere. There is a lot of debate as to what is good for you to eat but certain foods are good for everybody regardless of your genetics, etc. Dark leafy greens, fruit and water among other things. Actually to put it simpler its whole foods from our earth. We are made up of 60-75% water so we need that to refuel and cleanse our bodies. They did have some small bottles of water but everyone was too busy sucking down juice packets. The kind with added sugar that is. It just goes to show you what a major problem we are facing in this country. I am not here to shame people for their choices so I apologize for my rant but I was just so surprised. Our kids need to have some junk food in my opinion. It is part of being a kid. I just think that we should limit the added sugar to no more than 16 grams a day. Carmen Johnson does a beautiful job of explaining this in her videos for kids. I showed my kids and they really loved it.

If you care about the health of your kids please consider getting involved in your local schools asking them to limit sugary foods and provide more nutritious choices.
