Jon Levine CHHC (Certified Holistic Health Coach)

My name is Jon Levine, I’m a true Jersey boy. I’m married to the love of my life with three beautiful kids. My career has taken me from pharmaceutical sales to real estate investor. Something has always been missing however so I decided to use my health and wellness passion and take action. I studied holistic health education at IIN Institute for Integrative Nutrition and I’m a Certified Holistic Health Coach. I decided to launch a successful podcast to Educate, Empower and Entertain those individuals seeking healing in their life. I believe we should look at health from a functional standpoint.

In 2003 at the age of 29 my father passed away from Parkinson’s and Brain Cancer. It was a crushing blow. I always wondered why this happened and believe from the bottom of my heart that diet and exercise could have prevented his illnesses.

At the time I ate meat, eggs and pounded protein shakes while lifting heavy weight in the gym. I couldn’t be much different at my current age of 44. Thanks to my research and scientific experiments I have settled on mainly fruits and vegetables along with wild fish, nuts and legumes, whole grains and water. In 2007 I ran the NJ marathon and then in 2011 the NY marathon. I then transitioned into triathlons eventually finishing 3 Half Ironmans and 1 Full Ironman in 2012. I play basketball every week and have dabbled in BJJ.

After my father died it was another wake up call for me when my friend constantly hounded me about the protein bars I was eating before and after our league basketball games. I will never forget him going into the garbage to get my wrapper and asking me to pronounce the ingredients which of course I couldn’t. I decided to look up the ingredients and found that most of it was found in the chemical dictionary and one was even the main ingredient in antifreeze. This was the garbage I was putting into my body. It scared me, especially given what happened to my father. I set out to learn the truth about what I was putting into my body and realized I needed to make a drastic change. I needed to start to eat real food. I needed to make sure that I was healthy for my kids and that I modeled good eating habits. Food that was meant to be eaten and not the heavily processed kind that man had designed in laboratories. Nature has made certain foods perfect for our bodies. Mother nature does not make mistakes. It doesn’t need to be stripped of its nutrients or colored, etc.

I have been able to help my anxiety levels along with my constant irritation which no doubt was caused by junk food. I’m now on a mission to help inform my listeners how they can also improve their lives with a holistic point of view. The world is in a lot of trouble with what we put in our bodies and what we feed our children. Turn off the commercials that are marketing sugary junk food to our kids and follow me to reclaim your god given right. Happiness and healthiness!
